Field Day 2010...

Friday, the kids had Field Day at school. There were several stations set up and the kids were divided into several groups, with a couple kids from each grade level. They rotated stations every 10 minutes and took a couple hour break midday, for lunch and recess. I volunteered the whole day and I had such a GREAT time. I worked the Sponge Game station in the morning and the Bug Race station in the afternoon. The day went by so fast and the kids had such a FUN time. The last hour or so, the kids filed into the gym for a staff vs. 6th Grade volleyball game. It was fun to watch and I even got in and played a few minutes during the parent round. They ended the day with a dance by the 6th graders. It was SO cool to watch them. What an AMAZING day!!!

1st Grade Field Trip!

On Wednesday, the triplets and each of their 1st grade classes, had a field trip day. I got to go too! We went bowling and to the Winona Lake Park. At the park they had several activity stations set up for the kids. We learned about bicycle safety, the summer library programs, played basketball/soccer and also got a diving demonstration from the Warsaw Police Department dive team. It was a hot, humid day but fun afternoon. The shade trees and the popsicles helped:)

Me and MY boy:)

Early Tuesday morning Landan and I went to his 6th Grade Breakfast. It was held in the school gym and catered by the Brown Bag Deli. They showed a slide show, including the kids baby pictures and also pictures from camp. It was such a special morning for all the 6th graders and their parents. I still remember Landan's first day of kindergarten:( I can NOT believe he is off to middle school next year:( SNIFF, SNIFF!!!

Thanks to my Mom for getting all the other kids up, ready and off to school for me. Love ya!

Let the FUN begin!

Over the weekend the neighbors put up this GREAT blowup waterslide. All the kids really enjoyed it and it kept them cool. They didn't have these cool things when I was a kid:( They wouldn't let me play. LOL!

Lorelle is continuing to LOVE soccer! She does a great job and is really aggressive. She scores most of her games and was really into what she called "side slide kicking" last game:) I am convinced that this little girl of mine will be GREAT at whatever she decides she want to do. She has really enjoyed her last few games and is learning a lot. She has 3 more games left this season. GO Lorelle!!!

Last Wednesday thru Friday the entire Harrison Elementary, 6th grade class, teachers and some parent chaperones went to Camp Crosley. Lance went with Landan and stayed in a cabin with about 14 boys. He had such a GREAT time! He is already looking forward to going with Leytan in a couple years when he gets to go:)

Poetry Party!!!

This afternoon Lilyan's class hosted a "Poetry Party". Each of the children had their work displayed at their desks and there was a video running of each of the kids reading some poetry. I loved Lilyan's poetry and her illustrations that she drew to go with them. She is such a creative little girl. My favorite was call..."My Family is as GREAT as Cotton Candy!" TOO cute:) She did a wonderful job and I am so proud of her.

Happy Birthday Liam!!!

Liam turned 8 years old today! He chose to have a party at the movie theatre. He wanted to see the new Iron Man 2 movie. So...this afternoon, Liam, 10 of his buddies, his brothers, Lorelle, Lance and I went to see the movie. The kids all enjoyed the pop, popcorn, candy and of coarse the movie. The boys were SO into all the action....literally on the edge of their seats:) The kids also got a tour of the movie tech room and learned how the movies are played. Liam really enjoyed this time with his friends. He had a GREAT birthday!!!

3 year ago TODAY...

I was handed the most amazing little peanut. He was 4...almost 5 years old, covered with chicken pox, had a large scrape near his eye, super ticklish, a wonderful grin and was the CUTEST little China boy I had ever seen. Today we celebrated our last 3 years together having his "China food" for lunch and he also picked out a cake. He has come such a long way over the last 3 years. I feel SO lucky to be his Momma!!! He gives me the BEST hugs and kisses:) I love you SO much sweet boy!
