Ft. Wayne Children's Zoo...

On Friday, June 8th...I took my youngest 5 peeps to the zoo.  We get a membership each year (since Landan and Leytan were tiny little boys;) and all the kids really enjoy going.

My 4 little monkeys...looking at the monkeys:)

Lorelle...never without that stinkin iPod. Can't even imagine when she gets a phone:( Just glad she didn't drop it from the sky ride...

My WILD boys...can't believe they are tall enough to ride by themselves!?!  Just glad they didn't try to jump down to visit the lions;)

My little dinosaurs hatching from their eggs...lol!

My happy boy... I remember when Landan and Leytan could fit in these eggs;(

Playing the drums...

Lilyan and Liam on the horses...

The favorite picture spot...SO many years of pics here:)

Ready for the Indonesian rain forest...

The orangutans were entertaining...I need to post the video Lorelle took with her iPod.  SO gross!!!

This is what happens when you have boys..."Look mom, he is biting my butt!" LOL!!!

Or...Liam pretending to elbow Leytan, as Leytan pretends to kick Levi in the "nuts". Yep...this is what boys think is a good pose;) Gotta LOVE em!!!

GREAT memories and TONS of fun!!!

Lilyan's Gotcha Day...

We went to the Great Wall for dinner on June 6th to celebrate Lilyan's Gotcha Day:) She has been my little Princess for 8 years now!!! I am SO blessed and thankful to be her Mom:)

My Lily bug...

Last Day of School 2012 and AWARDS!!!

May 30th was the kids last day of school this year.  It was Leytan's last day in elementary school and Landan's last day in middle school.  Makes me a little  teary eyed again just typing it... GEESH, time goes way too fast:( The kids all had wonderful years and all got good grades. I am proud of them all for working so very hard on their school work.  I attended the kids award programs in the morning and took snacks in for afternoon parties:)

Landan before he left for his last day as a middle schooler...

My Huskies before their last day of 6th, 3rd and 1st grades...

Leytan got the "Principal's Award"!!! Landan also got it when he was a 6th grader;)

With his principal, teachers and fellow award winners...

Leytan got MVP in track!!! What a stud:)

With his track coach...

Lorelle with her Math award...

Liam got an award for getting all A's...ALL year!!!

Lilyan with her English and Math award...

The kids also got other awards...but I can't remember them all now since I am posting so late:( They didn't really give awards at the 1st grade level but I will tell you that Levi had an amazing year.  It is crazy how quickly he has caught up and even passed some of his classmates...especially in Math. It is so exciting to see him reading at grade level too. And he hasn't even been home 2 years yet!!! WOW!!!

6th Grade Breakfast...

The morning of May 29th, Lance and I attended Leytan's 6th Grade Breakfast with him. I can't believe 7 years at Harrison have gone by so VERY quickly for my boy.  Seriously...wasn't I just walking him into his first day of kindergarten just a couple years ago.  CRAZY!!! It was a nice morning to reflect and celebrate the last 7 years.  Leytan has grown and changed so much. What a amazing young man he had become:) We are SO proud of him!!!

With his principal for the first 6 years...Mr. P:)

With a couple buddies...Michael and Christian. Yes, Leytan is a BIG boy:)

With his 6th grade principal...Mr. Snyder:)

You sure have Leytan...

Such an GREAT morning with my AMAZING son!!!

Harrison Field Day 2012...

Field Day was on Friday, May 25th this year:) The kids all look forward to this day each school year.  I volunteered again this year and I think I have just as much fun as the kids do.  This was Leytan's last field day...hard to believe!! And as you can see in the 2nd picture below...if didn't end well:(

Before we left for school...sportin their Field Day shirts.  Notice "tough guys wear pink"... at least according to my little China boys;) Never a dull moment with those two!!!

During lunch recess Leytan fell, while goofing around on the playground, and broke his collar bone.  Luckily, I was already at the school so they called me to the office and got him to the ER very quickly.  He was in a TON of pain and shaking...in shock I think.  Neither of us got to finish the afternoon activities. NOT a great way to start the summer but he is almost completely healed now.  He has been going to the YMCA the last few weeks and really working on getting his strength back in the that arm.

Leytan's fracture...

Not the day I excepted but the morning was FUN and the afternoon could have been worse. SO thankful he landed on his shoulder and NOT his neck.  Thank you Lord for watching out for my wild and crazy boy:)

Lorelle's Limo Ride:)

Lorelle raised over $100 for the Harrison Elementary School Walk-A-Thon Fundraiser and earned a ride in a limousine to Culver's for ice cream:) She walked the neighborhood, asking for donations and did so TOTALLY on her own. GREAT job Lorelle!!!

She had a BLAST!!!

Visit with my Granny...

In May I went with my Dad, his girl friend Amy and also Lorelle to spend a weekend with my Granny.  Unfortunately, she is not in very good health.  I sure do wish she lived closer so that I could visit with her more often.  I am thankful for the time I got to share with her though.  She is now in a nursing home and I am not sure how soon or if she will be able to go back home:( "Please Lord, be with my Granny and her husband Don." Amen...

Rubbing Granny's back...

Peace... LOVE my COOL Granny:)

Going for a walk and wearing Dad's shades:)
