Student of the Week!

Liam was selected for Student of the Week this week. We worked on his poster together over the weekend. He did a good job on it and it turned out GREAT! He was very proud of it. He gets to do a lot of special things this week, including: read a book to his class, eat lunch with his teacher Mrs. Marsh (and 3 of his friends...that he chooses:) and he also gets a special show and tell time. I am happy for my little man and glad he is having such a special week.

Wall of Fame!!!

With 5 kiddos that bring me home the BEST artwork and a refrigerator that is NOT magnetic...I knew I had to think of a way to display my children's masterpieces. So...we had an entire wall of our laundry room painted with magnetic paint:) I LOVE my Wall of Fame!!! I rotate the pictures ever couple weeks and leave up my favorites longer. The kids love having their work on display.

Coloring Eggs...

It was a chilly, gloomy, rainy day here and the kids missed not being able to go outside and play:( We passed the time by watching the Kids Choice Awards and decorating eggs. The triplets spent a lot of time getting the perfect colors. Then we let them dry and they added some glitter paint to some of them. Then, of course, they ate a few:)

It was a nice weekend and everyone enjoyed it. Only 4 1/2 more days until we leave for Spring Break! We are ALL excited!!!

Easter Egg Hunt...

We took the kids to an Easter Egg Hunt yesterday. It was a little chilly but the kids didn't seem to mind much. They enjoyed the hunt and then played at the park for a while.

Later that evening we had family over for a pre-Easter dinner:) It was great to see and spend time with everyone. After dinner we watched the movie the Blind Side and also watched a little basketball.

Champions!!!

Landan's indoor soccer league is officially over:( They had a tournament on Sunday, and the Strikers WON the Championship. The end of the game was very close and very exciting. They won by only one goal. Landan played with the exact team of boys last season too. They work so great together and have a GREAT time. Notice poor Landan had a different colored shirt. I apparently lost his in one of our moves. I tried getting him a new one but didn't do a very good job matching the oranges. At least he was easy to keep track of:) LOL! Landan's ankle was still a little sore to play on but he wore a brace, suffered through and made 2 GREAT goals. We are VERY proud of him!

Outdoor soccer starts next month. Can't wait to watch Landan and Lorelle play. And praying for some nice, dry, Spring weather:)

Fear Factor!

Last night after the Basketball Extravaganza, the 6th graders played Fear Factor. The sixth grade kiddos that wanted to play were spit up into teams. Each team was given a box of food and the team to finish eating all of their food first...WON! Landan's team was beaten by a group of girls next to them but it was very close. Some of the foods included in the box were jalepenos, spicy chips, tapioca pudding, pop tarts, marshmallows, etc... Nice combination...YUCK!!!

As you can see the triplets were right up there with their big brother and thought it was GREAT fun!

It feels like SPRING!!!

What a gorgeous few days we have had here in Northern Indiana! I know it is not officially Spring until March 20th but it sure has been nice out. The kids have enjoyed getting their bikes, scooters and sidewalk chalk out again. We have been taking daily bike rides around the neighborhood and Chip has enjoyed his walks. I think I even got a little bit of sunburn on my face today. Sunscreen time in March...go figure?! I am certainly not complaining. Thank you God for this amazing weather!!!
