My soon to be middle schooler...Landan is as tall as me now:( He is such an AMAZING son!

Today I spent the day with Lance and the Fab Five! We went to church and then to the Great Wall Chinese Restaurant for lunch. We chose the Great Wall since today is also Liam's Gotcha Day:) After lunch we spent most of the afternoon just hanging outside with our gang. Lance threw the football to the kids on the trampoline, they also climbed trees and just hung out by the pond. It was such a relaxing day. We also made a trip to Ritter's for ice cream and I went for a jog. Lance signed me up for the Indianapolis Mini-Marathon for next year so I have a year to get my booty in shape:) He ran it yesterday morning and did GREAT!!!

Spring has SRUNG!!!

We have baby robins and duck eggs at our house! It is funny because Chip has been obsessed with going out on my bedroom deck and it took me a while to figure out why:) He stares down through the cracks of the deck. I can get down on my hands and knees and peak at the baby birds. They are tiny, eyes closed and no feathers yet. The Momma bird does not like Chip out on the deck and she will leave the nest, sit on the wall below and chew him out:) She chirps and chirps at Chip until I make him come back inside.

I took this picture of the nest from underneath the deck. I tried to take a picture of the babies through the cracks but I couldn't get a good one:(

Here is Chippy looking at the babies. You can see the Momma robin on the wall below chewing him out. LOL!!!

Here are the duck eggs I found in our landscaping...

I will be excited to have the ducklings hatch and to watch our baby robins grow. Spring it HERE!!!

Happy Birthday Lilyan!!!

Lilyan turned 7 years old yesterday!!! She chose not to have a party again this year but instead to have a "Mommy and Me" day:) She took a day off school and we spent the entire day doing what she wanted to do. She loves The Village in Winona Lake so we spent our morning there. Our first stop was the Pottery Bayou, where she chose Ying and Yang salt and pepper shakers to paint. I was a little surprised by her choice since there we so many other cute things to choose from. In the middle of her painting she told me she choose them because they were going to be my Mother's Day gift. How SWEET is that?!

Notice she is still doing her "Chinese squat". I am constantly telling her to sit on her bottom. This is comfortable to her I guess:)
After painting pottery, we walked down to the bakery to get a cookie. She is a dessert first kinda girl...like her Mom:) LOL! Then after a little walk, she chose to have lunch at Cerulean.

Lilyan and Mom at lunch...
We got Lilyan an electric scooter for her Birthday but she actually got it a few weeks ago when the UPS man delivered it to our garage and didn't give me a heads up:( Lilyan found it and just knew it was for her:) I also got Lilyan a hanging canopy for over her bed. Daddy put it up for her while we were at Lorelle's soccer game last night and surprised her with it when we got home. She LOVES it!

Lilyan in her new butterfly canopy...

After our lunch, Lilyan and I made a trip to Walmart where she picked out a cookie cake and stuff to make ice cream sundaes. YUM! She also got to pick out her birthday dinner. She wanted cheddar mashed potatoes and garlic bread. I also threw in some chicken fries so we would have some kind of meat (if you can call them that). LOL!

Lilyan with her giant cookie...

Lilyan covering her ears...she did NOT want us to sing Happy Birthday but we did anyway:)

I had a great day with my baby girl!!! She doesn't really enjoy the big fuss of a party and being the center of attention...so this was a PERFECT day for her! I am SO blessed to be her Mom!!!

Ortho Cup Challenge...

Today we went over to Winona Lake for the Fat and Skinny Tire Fest. Lance competed in the Ortho Cup Challenge bike race. It was a relay of four employees and they each did one lap on beach cruiser bicycles. We had a GREAT time watching him compete and cheering him on. He did great and his team got first place. Way to go BIOMET!!!

Checking out his ride and getting ready...

And he's OFF!

Lance is SO proud! LOL!!!

Happy Birthday Mom!!!

Yesterday was Grandma Linda's Birthday! We had a little party for her. Lilyan made her a gift and we got her a cake. She requested lobster for her Birthday dinner so we had surf and turf, cheesy potatoes and garlic bread for dinner. It meant a lot just to be able to celebrate with her this year since she was so sick and in the hospital last Birthday:( Thank you Lord for another year with my Mom!

Happy Birthday Mom/Grandma...we love you SO much!!! You are the BEST!!!

Dinner with my kiddos...

Friday night I took all six kiddos plus Lauren's new man, Andy, out for dinner at the Boathouse Restaurant. It is one of the kids favorite places to go and they had the porch opened so we had a nice view and breeze:) Lance was on his way back from NYC so he wasn't able to join us. Lauren only has a few more days of school and then she will be back in town for the summer. We are excited to be able to see her beautiful face more often. She is beyond ready to be done! The kids and I are also enjoying getting to know Andy better. He seems like a great guy and is wonderful with the kids. I have a feeling he will be around for quite a while.

Liam and Andy...

Lauren and Andy...aren't they a great looking couple!?!

I LOVE having all my kids together! I can't wait to have Levi home too!!!

EdCom...Showcase Of Learning

Yesterday, Leytan had EdCom. His class worked together and also individually on some computer projects to present at EdCom. Leytan loves the computer and really enjoyed his time at EdCom. He did a great job answering the appraiser's questions. I am very proud of him.

Here is a video clip of the mimio video that he created. It is a video animation of flowers growing. Friendship Blossoms is the name of a website his class shares with other children in the US and also Taiwan. Very COOL stuff!!!
